Depends on where: If it is in the lower to mid-back (for pain in back to toes) the leads are at a small risk of damage, if they are higher(ribs to head) it is very difficult to damage the system. Either way bring in films of where the IPG and leads are EARLY to OB Anesthesia to discuss this with them. They will likely consult a Pain Medicine specialist like me to discuss whether or not it would be safe for you.
