Therapy: Physical therapy may help relieve some of the symptoms. This can include rehabilitative exercises, modality therapy (electrical stimulation, ultrasound etc).

Steroid shots: A steroid shot is an anti inflammatory targeted at the area of the pinched never and bringing down the inflamed nerve or tissues surrounding it. In many cases it does help enough for the nerve to be released and bringing not only pain relief.

Well,...: It may if the nerve is being pinched from inflammation around where the nerve ravels through the joint...Decrease the inflammation, and improve your condition. Can the pain and inflammation come back,,-certainly, especially if you remain very active and do activities that will predispose you to aggravating the area. Check with your Dr. depending on the severity of your specific case. Best wishes
