They can.: It depends on how severe. Also, pain alone, other injuries, meds, etc., can affect heart rate (higher rate) as can other things. If you are weak, dizzy, having trouble walking or severe pain, vomiting, fever, numbness, tingling, etc., call your doctor or go to ER.
