Murder in mental dx.: While mental illness does not cause murder, the highest incidence of violence and murder is found in the population with paranoid schizophrenia and has paranoia and delusions that incorporates a family member. This is especially true if they are off their medications and using illicit drugs and or alcohol. If a brother believes his older brother is drugging him he might retaliate violently.
