A relative of mine has been told that his liver is 30% damaged and he only has 10-15 years more to live. i understand the info provided here is too little but what could be the cause behind this? is it auto-immune disorder which is killing his liver?

It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see a doctor, preferably a GI/Liver specialist. Many liver disorders are treatable. Wish you good health!
