Eye position: Medpor implant is used to restructure the bony rim of the orbit to allow the eye to stay in its proper position and move in a normal fashion. It is most commonly used after blunt trauma to the eye and orbit causing the bones to break through and orbital contents to protrude into the newly opened recess. It usually done under general by an oculoplastic surgeon inserting the Medpor in the opening.
