Osteosarcoma: Considering primary bone lesions only and not metastatic to bone, the primary lesions are derived from supportive tissue, here from bone. As such the suffix sarcoma is employed. The younger patient will develop a Ewing sarcoma, the post teen age patient develops osteogenic sarcoma and in between the cartilaginous chondrosarcomas do appear.
