Need evaluation: Your bf may have acid /reflux problems or irritable bowel syndrome .He needs to see a doctor to evaluate him.He may have some stress problems that may need to look into as well.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor. If your bf is overweight, losing weight would be a good start.
