Movement Disorder: Paroxysmal kinesigenic choreathetosis (PKC) is a hyperkinetic movement disorder characterized by attacks of involuntary movements, which are triggered by sudden voluntary movements. PKC is diagnosed using a strict set of guidelines. The attacks last less than one minute and have a known trigger, usually a sudden voluntary movement. PKC patients have a good response to medication (anticonvulsants)
