Tardive dyskinesia: Virtually all of the antipsychotic medications can cause tardive dyskinesia. The older ones are most like to cause this--haldol, mellaril, thorazine, promethazine, flufenazine. The newer ones can too, but the risk is lower. Some nonantipsychotic medications can also cause it like Reglan (metoclopramide) for nausea, .
