Usually addiction.: People usually use kratom as a substitute for opioid abuse or dependence because it is not detected in urine drug screen. These things though can be dangerous as they are not extensively studied for safety and how they may affect you and your body.

Kratom is unregulated, and according to the Mayo Clinic is both ineffectual and dangerous, especially when used with narcotics. It is unlikely to be of any benefit for opioid withdrawal and has its own withdrawal symptoms. Another, "Buyer Beware"!!
