I would suggest zero: I have treated a dozen or so people with Kratom dependency. About half of them tried to use Kratom to get off of other opiates, and then couldn't get off the Kratom. The other half got hooked on it without prior use, because they heard how safe it was. While in the grand scheme of things it is not as bad as heroin or opium or oxycontin, it caused a fair amount of harm in my patients.
