It can be: I have treated 3 individuals who were trying to use kratom to get themselves off of other opiates, and ended up not being able to stop the kratom. In low doses, it has mild stimulant effects, and in higher doses more opiate-like effects. One problem with these kinds of drugs is that there is no quality control and you truly do not know what is in what you are getting. Even more with bath salts.
