Check terminology: "invasive" ultrasound is not a typically used term. Best to double check the terminology as well as to correlate with what question is trying to answered with the ultrasound? There are types of ultrasounds performed by inserting probes into the body - most commonly the vagina but also rectal ultrasound and trans esophageal ultrasound.
