Yes there are: The most common cysts are called "physiologic cysts" and are under the influence of your hormones. There are several different types and they can come, go and be painful. The biggest thing to find out from ultrasound and your doc is if it may be a cystic tumor. Tumor means "growth", and is usually benign but can be malignant. These will not go away spontaneously and might require surgery.
