What is the treatment for syndrome x (cardiac)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Syndrome X: Syndrome x is defined as myocardial ischemia that occurs at the level of the microvasculature (supply:demand imbalance). It is treated by drugs that either improve supply (vasodilatory) or reduce demand (reduce heart rate or bp). These include nitrates, calcium channel blockers, and beta blockers. Theoretically, the treatment of ischemia on a cellular level (ranexa) might also have a role.
