Why atropine is no longer recommended for the treatment of cardiac arrest in adults?

Not useful: Atropine is used in treating low heart rates. It is usually not helpful in cardiac arrest unless the shocked rhythm returns as a bradycardia with loe blood pressure.

Cardiac arrest: Studies have shown that during cardiac arrest Epinephrine works just as well without the routine use of atropine. Atropine should be used when cardiac arrest is secondary to a bradycardic arrest.
