Sensations that...: ...are not really there. Auditory hallucinations are the most common type, from indistinct whispers to outright command hallucinations by identifiable voices. Visual hallucinations are less common, when things are seen that are not really there such as bugs or tiny people. Visual and tactile are often seen in withdrawal or intoxications. ALL hallucinations demand IMMEDIATE physician evaluation.
