Anti-infective: This is a usually comfortable eyedrop prescribed when an infection is suspected or detected on the eye surface. If the diagnosis is correct, you can expect a fairly rapid clearing of the symptoms and signs of infection. If the diagnosis is incorrect, the symptoms may persist. Rarely some develop allergy to neomycin and this may be the cause of persistent symptoms.
