Upper to lower: Overjet is how far the upper front teeth protrude further than the lower front teeth. Overbite is how much the upper front teeth overlap the lower front teeth. Normal amounts are about 2 - 4 mm for each.

Overbite vs. overjet: Overjet is the horizontal difference between the upper front and lower frontal teeth. And overbite is the vertical distance between the upper front and lower front teeth.

Overjet/overbite: Overjet is the horizontal distance from the front of the lower incisors to the biting edge of the upper incisors, normal about 2mm. Overbite is the amount of the lower incisors covered by the upper incisors, usually about 2mm or 27%. Any other relationship should be evaluated by an Orthodontic Specialist...initial exam usually complimentary.
