What are the differences between a gynecologist (not obstetric) and obstetric gynecologist?

No OB: A gynecologist does not do obstetrics. Many OB/GYNs will give up the OB as they get older, not wanting the crazy hours most OB/GYNs have. (I often tell my patients when they have been waiting in the office because I've been delivering a baby that the babies have no respect for my schedule). Both have trained the same and are certified by the same board (ABOG).

An obstetric/GYN: does both ob care and gynecology and a gynocologist just does gynecology.
