A member asked:

What's the difference between an obstetrician and gynecologist?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Same training: Mostly this is the same thing, as doctors who specialize in obgyn have trained in both obstetrics and gynecology. Obstetrics is the care of pregnant women. Gynecology is the care of diseases of the female reproductive tract and pelvis, as well as other conditions of the ill and healthy woman.
