A member asked:

Is gold an anti-inflammatory?

Certain preparations: Gold by itself is not anti-inflammatory. Gold preparations such as gold sodium thiomalate and aurothioglucose were used for almost 75 years to treat rheumatoid arthritis, often with major benefit but also some pretty serious side effects. They have been replaced by safer and more effective drugs available today.
