See DDS/orthodontist: There are options for closing diastemas (space between teeth, specifically between upper central incisors,) A diastema of 3 mm is fairly large, and may be better suited to some type of bonding, veneers or crowns because orthodontics may not be able to move the teeth that much. I would get more than one personal opinion, with a dentist and an orthodontist. A lot also dpends upon your bite
