Co Q10: Its a vitamin like compound involved with energy production in the body. It has anti-oxidant properties. Many benefits have been claimed for using this as a supplement, BUT, controlled studies have shown little if any benefit with the possible exception of treating migraines.

Hard to say: There has been some benefit on heart in one trial, but trial only involved 420 patients is considered safe, generally, but there's problems with saying that. No one regulates the over the counter supplements to guarantee they contain what they say or whether form it comes in is the same as that in the trial.
