Muscle sprain: Sprain /muscle strain after a fall is a possible cause for the pain. Clot forming within 16 hrs of fall is unlikely when yo don't have open injuries/severe crush injuries of musles and soft tissues. Hot compresses, leg elevation instead of hanging them down while sitting, analgesics like motrin,, Aleeve if you not allergy to NSAID's should help. Enough rest to the injured area for first 1-2 days+
