Sedation: they will start an IV and give you medicine to drift off to sleep. After you are asleep, you will get local anesthetic so when you wake up, things will be numb. You may have some stitches afterward. Don't worry too much. Your doctor is likely highly trained for this.

You'll be sleeping: You'll be breathing on your own, the teeth will be extracted while you are asleep, and when you wake up the procedure will be done and you won't remember a thing. Regarding the specifics, since you are so nervous, maybe it's best not to talk about it... but if you are that curious, please discuss your concerns with your surgeon.

Not unusual: Extraction is a serious surgical procedure and the appropriate anesthesia depends on the complexity of the surgery and your own comfort zone. With the profound local anesthesia and IV sedation you will have no recall of the events of the surgery or experience any pain. Good luck.
