Sounds like: Acute SINUSITIS. Antibiotics may help if administered along with medication to drain the sines (Antihistamine/Decongestant and Nasal Spray NOTE A lot of physicians do not feel most cases of sinusitis require antibiotics!!! If drainage is greenish in color Pneumococcus infection is likely! See a Health Care Professional! Hope this helps Dr Z

Examination: antibiotics may or may not help you. Your symptoms could be either viral or bacterial. A lot depends on the length of your symptoms and what an examination shows. This is why a visit to your doctor is important in this decision.
