Virus: A viral upper respiratory tract infection is likely with subsequent development of overt nasal congestion and sore throat. At this time I recommend resting, intake of adequate fluids and taking Tylenol as needed. Such an infection should run its course in several days. See your physician if you develop progressively worsening symptoms instead of gradual improvement.
