I have 2 bites next to each other on my thigh that now have scabs in the middle and the surrounding area was red - now bruise like color?

Healing?: If they don't have redness, they are not painful, swollen or having any pus coming out of them then it is less likely to be infected. If they are still itchy and swollen this might still need evaluation. However, if what you refer as bruise color is like a purplish color and they seem to be shrinking then they are most likely healing and you would just need to observe them for any changes.
