Concerned: but not terrified. Any surgical procedure has risks. The overall risk of bleeding of tonsillectomy in adults is about 17%. Only about 1/4 of these are severe. Nevertheless modern surgical facilities are equipped to deal with these swiftly and effectively. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!
