ER Now: You need to have a consultation with your doctor IMMEDIATELY. Asthma left untreated makes you slowly decompensate and end up with significant disease and even can lead to sudden death. Never allow yourself to struggle to breathe normally.

See doctor: If you are having shortness of breath and wheezing despite taking your inhalers you need immediate evaluation.

Time to step up tx?: Not knowing what medication you are taking I cannot make a n evaluation., However I would guess you are taking a controller inhaler as well as a rescue inhaler. You may need to step up the controller dose or possibly add other medications to your regimen. Your physician is the best judge of this. You may also want to check with your physician about have a pulmonologist evaluate your condition
