Uti: Urinary tract infections can be very serious especially during pregnancy. Because of hormonal changes and dilatation of the ureters during pregnancy there is an increased risk of kidney infections. She should have a urine culture and appropriate antibiotics started. She should be followed closely by her obstetrician.
