Respiration rate: the average respiration rate for adults is 12-16 breaths per minute. more important is if you are nasal breathing so that the volume of air in and out is controlled. if you are exhaling through the mouth you may be losing too much CO2(which causes smooth muscle to relax). without enough CO2 , oxygen doesn't release from the hemoglobin molecules. seek out correct breathing instruction
