A member asked:

How long does it take for a needle bruise to heal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Depends upon the size of the bruise. A small needle can lacerate a large artery and cause a large bruise. Conversely a large needle can injure nothing. All depends on the luck of the "draw." Once blood is seen in the skin it will take a week or two before it goes through the typical color change and resolution.
