Bruised arm: This sometimes happens especially if poor technique is used by putting cool compresses on the bruise will subside without any lasting effects.

It happens: This can happen any time they get a shot. The needle can hit a sensitive spot & the pain will sometimes last a few days. Comfort measures/cold compresses, etc, can help .
