Any Muscle Can Be: Any muscle can be strained and mid/low back strains are very common. See your Doctor of Chiropractic who can provide spinal manipulation and rehabiliation which have been shown to be the 2 most important factors in dealing with spine conditions.

I would suggest no: spinal manipulation until seen medically, examined, evaluated and prescribed mediciation to stop mucular pain/spasm. Any muscle can be overworked to the point of strain or spasm with myalgia ( muscle pain). I suggest BioFreeze Cream, rest, local ice, lower back compression with a neoprene/velcro back brace and if pain is severe, an ER evaluation. Manipulation should be a last resort.
