You can: During pregnancy, you only need about 300 extra calories each day in your second and third trimesters. However, you also need more of a number of essential nutrients, and it is best to get these extra calories from nutrient-dense foods rather than supplements. Pomegranates can also provide a number of nutrition and health benefits during pregnancy.
