A member asked:

I am 16 weeks pregnant. my weight before pregnancy was 49 kg and now during pregnancy its the same 49kg . its not increasing , i am taking folic acid supplements trying to eat healthy diet fruits etc but still no weight gain in 4 months. reason?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pregnancy ?'s: Normal activities and diet will not generally cause significant weight gain at "16 weeks" of pregnancy. The first three months are usually appetite suppressants, so normal weight gain may soon begin to occur. See your OB physician for his/her assessment of your current nutritional intake.
