A member asked:

My mom is 77 in a month with mild to moderate dementia. she takes amlodipine bens10/40 and her last bp was 139/65. any way to lower pulse pressure?

Suggestions: If your Mom has dementia, many medications cause anti-cholinergic side effects and one of these is Amlopidine, so, it can make her memory and intellectual functions far worse. Your best approach is to deal with this directly, and the BP is acceptable at this time for a woman of 77. A neurologist, geriatrician or even psychiatrist could help sort out all of this.
