Yes: Bleeding during pregnancy is common and often does not indicate a problem unless there is associated cramping. However, if you know you are pregnant and start bleeding you should notify your OB immediately. There are many woman who do not realize they are pregnant because they continue what they think is their period.

Its possible: if you have appositive pregnancy test and still bleed you may be pregnant and need to be seen by your physician. Having a period like bleed monthly during pregnancy is very rare but has been known to happen.
