What are the tests for meningocele?

Afp: An elevated Alpha feto-protein (AFP) is usually the first indiction that there may be a neural tube defect (ntd). Some are then diagnosed on ultrasound exam. A small defect may require amniocentesis to detect elevated acetycholinesterase for confirmation of an ntd.
