Tough question!: Ouch! Poor you! Your surgeon is the best person to talk to as he knows the extent of the problem and the possible causes. A high fiber diet, when well, with lots of fluid (non-caloric, non-caffeinated) helps prevent constipation which can cause this sometimes. Your surgeon will have more specific advice. The best of luck to you! If your surgeon doesn't answer your quesions, get second opinion

Hmm...: cannot say in your particular case and fistulas frequently go off in directsion that are not expected. Furthermore there can be secondary infections, this includes infections FROM the antibiotic treatment (C DiFF).
