Follow up: If you have persistent symptoms continue to follow up with your doctor. Also ask for a mental assessment. It is possible you may be depressed. The body is very complicated and sometimes a non organic illness can make us feel just as bad. All the best.

Depression/anxiety: assuming that a thorough history and physical was done and all other relevant medical conditions excluded (including things such as fibromyalgia etc ) then we are left with is a psychosomatic diagnosis. your symptoms are likely to be a combination of both depression and anxiety perhaps a medication such as cymbalta (duloxetine) along with counseling /biofeedback therapy/exercise/dietary changes/etc

It's possible: As severe anxiety can make you feel like you are literally dying ! It's how powerful the mind-body connection is! But you should be your own patient advocate and make sure that due diligence is being done and that organic pathologic problems aren't causing your symptoms. It's hard to guide you better as you don't really provide much info about "feeling bad". Best of luck.

Mind-body connection: Our minds and bodies are intimately connected. When we experience intense emotion, it is common to have a physical sensation related to that. Similarly, when we have a physical illness or pain, it causes emotional distress.

Therapy?: Have you yet tried any form of psychotherapy? Typically, the optimal combination of things to treat emotional issues such as anxiety or depression is medication (which, on your best day, is supposed to take the edge off symptoms) but the real gruntwork takes place in psychotherapist's consulting room.

Something's wrong...: ...but you can fix it. Anxiety and worry can be upsetting and can make people feel ill. Work with your doctor to resolve your anxiety problem. You might also move your focus off yourself and onto what interests you, what you're striving for, your curiosity, your interest in other people. It's difficult or impossible to feel illness due to anxiety when focused outward. Try it!

Psychotherapy helps: Something IS wrong, but not physically. I have seen a number of people who express their anxiety with physical symptoms of being ill. If you have checked out your physical symptoms with physicians, it is likely that you are experiencing emotional distress that is out of your awareness. Talking with a psychotherapist can help you to self-reflect & discover the emotional sources for your symptoms.

Anxiety feels bad: Assuming that it is anxiety, it feels bad and can take many forms. Some people have anxiety about physical symptoms that are not really serious, although thoughts about the symptoms produce anxiety. But you ought to get a thorough medical work up, including a psychological evaluation.

Stress hormones: Emotional stress can trigger a myriad of health problems. When fight or flight is activated, as is the case with anxiety, stress hormones, such as cortisol, are released. These hormones can cause physical reactions that can make you feel quite ill. Talk to your doctor, boost your social network, and utilize a therapist to learn skills to manage the anxety and lessen it's impact on your body.Best

See below: Assuming that you had a thorough history and physical done, I would recommend seeing a psychotherapist to help you cope with your symptoms and look at what triggers your symptoms. Establishing daily routine, sleep hygiene, self-care, relaxation will help with anxiety and overall symptom management. Good Luck!

Anxiety: If you have been cleared for a health issue then it would be good for you to consult with a psychologist to learn ways to cope with anxiety. There are also medications that help with this.
