Yes.: The Butrans patch has the same medicine (Buprenorphine) as Subutex or Zubsolv/Suboxone but without the Naloxone ( a blocking agent.) Some people have been on buprenorphine for over 5 years. Opioid dependence is a chronic condition like high blood pressure. Some people do get weaned off the buprenorphine, but some are on for a long time.

Ive been on Norco 10-325 for RA pain. I had nerve blocking done last month and the rt. side went badly. The pain has intensified greatly. Norco isnt helping. Ive been offered Butrans patch along with Norco. Im hesitant, any thoughts???
