Not most: But few. This is highly protected data and hospitals are mandated to follow proper protocols by state and federal laws . Most deaths are not likely to be related to not following protocols. Some probably still are.

No: Most anesthesia deaths are due to the underlying condition of the patient being operated on. Anesthesia deaths are very rare, 1 per 200,000 or fewer. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!
