Outpatient surgery: A hysteroscopy is a fairly simple and easy procedure. As with any surgery your doctor should do a preoperative history and physical. If anything in your history or your exam indicates an underlying cardiac issue then they will want you be evaluated for preoperative medical clearance. In healthy, low risk people undergoing low risk surgery specialized testing is often not needed
