I had a stomach bug with diarhea 5 days ago. now i feel and look very bloated (lower abdomen). could it be from this bug? how long will it last?

Yes: This could very well be a residual effect of the gastroenteritis. It seldom lasts more than a week but there are rare cases in which it may go on for an indeterminate duration. Hope you are better soon.

Gastroenteritis: It may be that your gastrointestinal tract has not yet had time to recover from the infection. Make sure to avoid lactose containing foods for just this week and only consume a bland diet eg toast, applesauce, rice, bananas. Hydrate frequently; drink lots of water. It could be: Some viruses can cause bloating. It should not last more than a few days. If it lasts for much longer, than see you r Dr. for an evaluation. Good luck.
