Better to eat a very small amount of a high gi food or a lot of a medium gi food, in general?

Medium GI food: Presuming GI means Glycemic Index the thing that is so hard on a mammal pancreas (and eventually will result in Diabetes) is insulin SPIKES (as opposed to total insulin in a longer period of time). Insulin also causes abdominal fat gain (insulin is the master hormone regulating the 2 enzymes of fat storage) by the way. You will get a bigger Insulin spike with the small amount of high GI food

Healthy diet: It's best to eat a balanced, healthy diet. Balance your plate as follows: 1/2 green (vegetables, salads, etc), 1/4 protein (fish, chicken, eggs, tofu, cheese, occasional red meat) and 1/2 complex carbohydrates (brown rice, quinoa, baked potato, sweet potato, whole wheat breads/pasta). Don't get too caught up in eating or avoiding one particular food. Keep it balanced.
