Itchy rash: It sounds like the area is just dry at this point, if you feel like the actual rash has resolved. It's not unusual to see "postinflammatory hyperpigmemtation" in an area of skin following an irritation. This will fade over time. Use a good unscented creme to moisturize, avoid the sun and wear sunscreen. It will fade. 4% hydroquinone will speed along the lightening process if you wish.
